Alice Pleasance Hargreaves (born Alice Pleasance Liddell (May 4, 1852 – November 16, 1934) inspired the children’s classic Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll (Charles Lutwidge Dodgson), when she asked him to tell her a story on a boating trip in Oxford.
